The current regime has no connection with Tobacco Road

UNC and Duke don't have near the power they once do, especially considering the recent (and future) losses of their legendary basketball coaches. Virginia Tech was not wanted by either UNC or Duke during the Swofford regime. We were thrown in because of politics in the Commonwealth. I would not say that Tech has been treated poorly. You're making excuses before you've even been invited into the conference. And what kind of hoops would you need to jump through besides adding ACC Network facilities on campus?
